Printing away!

Photobucket

I've come up with afew new designs for my etsy shop and for my upcoming show... but other than that I am just printing, printing, printing! I am pretty worried about having enough product to keep my table looking presentable throughout my two show days. Here is Little Red Riding Hood, one of my personal favorites.

Cozy Sister

Today I am featuring Cozy Sister who keeps shop at http://www.cozysister.etsy.com

She says: I consider my rings to be tiny pedestals for breathtaking beads. Each ring is carefully coiled around the shank, adding strength and a bit of intricacy without stealing the spotlight from the beautiful beads.

I am currently having a giveaway on my blog that readers can enter by leaving a comment on this post: http://cozysister.com/blog/?p=30

Celeste says: What a master of her craft! I had no idea that wire rings could be such an art form, until I saw this.

Unique Jewelry

Today I am featuring the unique work of Susan Shaw at http://yellowplum.etsy.com

Photobucket

She says: I've been making jewelry for about 15 years and selling my work full time for the past seven years. One of the things I love about jewelry is that it can be made from almost anything. I like working with seed beads because of the meditative and centering nature of beadwork.

Celeste says: What beautifully unique jewelry! I really haven't seen anything like it before.

Emma Woodhouse

Confession: I am at this very moment very addicted to Jane Austen. Yes, I suppose her novels are probably sappy, but her portraits of human nature and her wit are irresistible. (I hope there are some other Austen fans out there reading...)

Photobucket

This linocut is called Emma. She is the one that tried to play matchmaker, blundered horribly, and at the same time did not know what her own heart was about. This portrait is of course a modernized version. Here her gaze misses the heart shaped flower blooming in her lap, because she "knew not the workings of her own heart."

Rebeccah Dean

Today I am featuring Rebeccah Dean who runs shop at http://www.schaufenster.etsy.com

She does collage and photographs, jewelry and vintage.

Photobucket

I'm an artsy ex-pat who is living in Berlin. Besides making stuff I also write and this can often be seen reflected in my collage work. My vintage pieces are carefully selected and tend to be from the 60s or 70s and on the funky, frilly, feminine side.
